Gorge Amphitheater Death Under Investigation

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

A 27-year-old Olympia man died at the Gorge Amphitheater over the weekend after consuming drugs sold by Quincy Travers, 28, a Seattle man arrested on drug distribution charges, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Travers faces one count of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of possession with intent to distribute, including cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA. The victim became ill after using the drugs, was taken to the amphitheater’s medical facility, and died there. Grant County Coroner will conduct an autopsy this week.

INET detectives conducted an undercover operation targeting Travers, purchasing drugs from him before his arrest. At least 10 people were arrested for drug-related offenses as of Saturday, with officials stating drug trafficking at concerts is a persistent issue despite law enforcement presence.
