GTA Solicits Bids for Electric Buses

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

The Grant Transit Authority (GTA) is soliciting sealed proposals for purpose-built battery-electric minibuses until February 13, 2026. The request for proposals (RFP 26-01) was published on January 22, 2026, and specifies that proposals must be submitted to GTA's Administrative Offices at PO Box 870/116 W 5th Ave, Moses Lake, WA 98837, by 3:00 PM on the deadline date.

GTA's Administrative Services Manager Brandy Pesta can provide proposal packages and specifications by phone at (509) 765-0898 or email at [email protected]. This RFP follows GTA's 2022 adoption of permanent fare-free service and its ongoing efforts to modernize its transit system.

The new buses are expected to reduce emissions and operating costs for the transit system. GTA will review the proposals and select a vendor to supply the electric minibuses, which will replace or supplement existing fleet vehicles.
