Moses Lake will host a Community Resource Fair and International Overdose Awareness Day on Saturday, August 29, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCosh Park, according to a public alert from the Grant County Health District.
The event aims to connect residents with local health and social services while raising awareness about opioid and drug overdoses. The Grant County Health District is sponsoring the event, which will include resource booths and educational materials related to overdose prevention and treatment options.
The health district also issued a separate alert about widespread poor air quality due to wildfire smoke, warning residents to limit outdoor activity. This alert, issued by the Washington State Department of Health, is part of ongoing health advisories related to air quality in the region.
