State Route 262 near the MarDon resort in Othello will see weekday slowdowns and flagger-controlled traffic starting Monday, Sept. 2, due to asphalt overlay work. The project runs from milepost 11 to 12 on the highway, with crews working 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday until Sept. 10.
WSDOT notes drivers should expect delays, pilot cars, and flaggers during the work period. The project is part of routine road maintenance to resurface the highway. The Richland chip seal work on SR 240, which began Aug. 24, continues with alternating traffic Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through milepost 8 to 28.
