WSP to Boost Patrols Near WSU

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Washington State Patrol will conduct emphasis patrols from Aug. 14-16 along State Route 26, I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass, and through Ellensburg and Grant County to address speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving near Washington State University.

Troopers will enforce posted speed limits and have zero tolerance for impaired driving during the patrols, which follow 12 fatal collisions investigated in District 6 so far in 2026. The WSP aims to ensure safe travel for students returning to campus.

Motorists traveling to WSU should expect increased patrols during the three-day period.
