WSU Back-to-School Patrols Begin Aug. 14

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Washington State Patrol will conduct emphasis patrols from Aug. 14-16 to address traffic safety concerns as students return to WSU in Pullman.

Troopers will focus on speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving along State Route 26, I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass, and through Ellensburg and Grant County. The patrol follows 12 fatal collisions investigated by District 6 this year, with troopers stating many are preventable.

Drivers are reminded to observe changing speed limits and avoid distractions. The WSP aims to ensure safe travel for students and families returning to campus.
